OH, Sandusky!!! League Rules

Each team may keep one player per year. To be eligible, the player must be on your active roster at the end of the season — and the season ends with championship week.

Keepers must be declared by August 15. If you have not declared by that date, you abstain — you keep no player and you keep all of your draft picks.

Keeping a player costs you the draft pick one round ahead of where he was originally drafted.

• Drafted in the 5th → costs your 4th round pick
• Drafted in the 10th → costs your 9th round pick
• Drafted in the 2nd → costs your 1st round pick

A player drafted in the first round cannot be kept — there is no round above the 1st to give up.

Any undrafted player added off waivers or free agency during the season costs a 10th round pick to keep.

Keeper cost is tied to draft price, not acquisition price. If the player was drafted, his cost follows his original draft round no matter how he got to your roster. Example: a guy drafted in the 3rd goes to IR and gets dropped. If another team snags him, his keeper price is based on that 3rd-round draft slot — not the 10th-round waiver rate.

If you acquired a player by trade, his keeper cost is based on the round he was originally drafted in, regardless of who drafted him. If he was never drafted, he costs a 10th.

A player cannot be kept in back-to-back years. If you keep him this year, he goes back into the pool next year and is not eligible to be kept by anyone that season.

This is a one-year cooldown, not a lifetime ban. Once he’s drafted again, the clock resets — whoever drafts him can keep him the following year like any other pick.

Keepers are declared before the draft and removed from the player pool. Your forfeited pick is removed from the board, meaning you simply do not pick in that round. All other picks stay in their normal slots.
