It was the best of times, It was the worst of times. Two roads diverged in our storied league and be 8 teams for 10 years we’ve stood looking forward as far as we could. 5 teams with glory about their names 3 teams in darkness with only their shame. I shall be telling this with a sigh somewhere ages and ages hence. Two roads diverged in our storied league and 7 took the road less traveled(and added one along that way) and that has made all the difference.
10 years fellas. Boys to Men. A decade. An era. Literally 1/3rd of our lives. I did some research about the number 10 and learned some things I want to share and relate back to this moment of achievement:
- Research by Psychologists show that people consistently underestimate how much their personalities, values, and tastes will change over the next 10 years. We’ve all changed in many ways and have become very different people than we were in 2016 - and we’ve chosen to stay together anyway. Pretty cool
- The 10 year anniversary is commonly known as the Diamond anniversary, but traditionally (before big jewelry decided to push the most expensive rock as something you have to buy just because)10 years was symbolized by Tin or Aluminum (shout out to our tin man) These two metals represent durability and flexibility. Neither rust and bend without breaking. We all go through a lot and there have been some tenuous moments in the league but we bend, we don’t break.
- 10 years is 3,652 days, roughly 87,660 hours. All consumed by who to draft, start, pickup off the waiver wire, or trade. Sounds like time well spent to me.
Quick shoutout to our newest league mate Tom. We are happy you are here. Try not finish last.
The boys are headed to Lambeau in a few weeks for what will undoubtedly be a long weekend we shall never forget and I can’t wait to be able to reference the experiences and inside jokes that come from that weekend in my weekly column for the next 10 years. Another shoutout to our website ar
The Good Ghandi’s vs Clan of Combs
Mitch really did himself a favor by forgetting to change his keeper and as a result lost his first round pick. Could’ve had Gibbs or Bijan but I guess Puka isn’t far off. Unless he goes crazy like true WR1s do (insert Antonio Brown). He also received the top spot in the ESPN post draft rankings which historically has led to a bottom half of the league finish so he’s got that to contend with. He’s got king Henry again and that guy keeps on putting up huge years in his old age (relative to RBs) but Father Time could come for him at any moment. Jdog picked at #8 & 9 and snagged two RBs. Brown was a solid choice but picking a Chiefs running back gives me some pause. Walker is special but that offense doesn’t typically produce high RB scores consistently. Allen is going to produce high numbers and so should Devonte know that he’s the true #1 in Philly. All in all my sources tell me that Jdog isn’t super stoked about the outcome of the draft and will really not leaning on his weird underdog narrative to keep the fire of hope alive in his bosom. Puka down under sounds like a real problem and I think he leads the way for Mitch. Moth picks Mitch

Sanjay’s Warriors vs The Obl%^#*@s
Is it even the OH, Sandusky league if Kyle Pitts isn’t on Cliff’s roster???? The answer is no you idiots. Its fate, they belong to the light they belong to the thunder. Whatever they deny or embrace in wins and in loses they belong, they belong they belong together. (Sing it in your heads or it’s not funny). Gibbs gonna be Gibbs and get lots of points, I think Drake Maye could be a top 3 WR with his legs and he changed his diet up coming off an L in the Chip so could be a big year for him. I don’t like that tet guy in Carolina because he’s in Carolina. I was super high on Emeka but with Baker signing a huge extension yesterday I’m worried he won’t be as hungry. Kyle. Took a big swing with the football card draft and hit out of the mother trucking park well done. I changed my mind when I said someone else had the best WR duo. This is it. The Sun God and JSN my goodness he’s going to put up some big numbers with those two. Dak isn’t special but the guy can put up fantasy points with the best of them. His RBs are the biggest question marks honestly. Back to the football cards it feels like that earned him enough good juju. Moth picks Kyle
